Dylan Hartwell was a senior at Telsa and the son of two prominent researchers (his father is a Nobel laureate in chemistry and his mother is a physicist). He had a 4.6 GPA and had earned an internship at Global Dynamics. He (very) briefly dated Zoe Carter.
The pressure Dylan felt to live up to the standards of his parents eventually caused him to turn to drugs. He altered an experimental drug (methylphenidrate hydrochloride - MPH), turning it into something that allowed the user to move faster than the eye can see. He also began distributing it to a team of Section 5 researchers.
When one of those scientists died, Sheriff Carter was able to uncover Dylan's secret and eventually managed to take him into custody.
